About

Hi golfers,

I am a Golf Instructor in the Bay area, certified with USGTF Level lll Golf Teaching license and I am currently working at GOLFTEC.  I am very flexible with requests and will focus on specific areas that my clients want to work on. Generally, our session together will be working on putting, chipping and full-swing shots. I utilize video analysis on players' swings to diagnose their problems. Beginners will start with short irons and slowly move up to mid-irons. I also do on-course lessons for my intermediate students and will mainly work on course management, golf rules & etiquette.

How I started >

Golf has been with me for as long as I have memory, mostly influenced by my dad. I grew up playing on a course in a military base located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Started at age of 8 I was part of the Acer junior program, one of the biggest junior golf tour in Taiwan at the time. I played as a junior USGA member since 2010 and trained with other competitive junior golfers at Mariners Point in Foster City. I have been teaching beginners, intermediate and elite junior golfers for more than 2 years, I enjoy watching students grow and get excited about their new skills.

I started to treat golf as a job besides working in the IT industry. I have had lots of people asking me for advices on their swings but I didn't quite know how to answer them since I don't remember how I learned it. Therefore,  I decided to get more educated to teach golf and become a certified USGTF Teaching Professional in 2022. Now I am aiming to get certified as a PGA Class A professional.
